Dear Family and Friends,
Each year over 125,000 animals are surrendered to shelters in Indiana, but IndyHumane is a leader in animal welfare working to change that. IndyHumane is a no-kill shelter with a 96% lifesaving rate and has served the Indianapolis community since 1905.
In 2019, they placed 3,817 homeless pets in loving homes proving to be a leader for the voiceless. They also placed 1,736 animals into just 532 foster families while they awaited their furever homes. I adopted a cat, Pumpkin, and a kitten, Pie, who bring so much joy to my life.
At full capacity, IndyHumane takes in 300 cats and dogs so costs for basic care can add up quickly. When they place animals in foster care they also give them all the supplies they need to care for the animal. In honor of my 21st birthday on March 14th, my goal is to have 21 people donate $21 amounting to $441 in unrestricted funds. I would then use my own money to purchase 21 items from their Amazon and Chewy wish lists.
IndyHumane receives no government funding or tax dollars so they rely on your strong support to keep their shelter pets happy and healthy. Join me in celebrating my birthday by giving to IndyHumane, an organization that means a lot to me.
